When I first got into natural medicine many years ago, and I heard about this condition called "Copper toxicity", I was a little skeptical about whether this was an actual health condition.

I was working with senior Nutritional Balancing practitioner at the time, and it seemed like everybody had this Copper toxicity, and that seemed to explain everybody's health condition.

I was pretty skeptical. I mean, that is what they call a "confirmation bias" right.

Always seeing the same diagnosis because of your own personal biases?

However, after working with thousands of clients all over the world, and I keep seeing more and more patients in my health clinic coming to me with the same "hallmark signs" of Copper toxicity:

Now, I know that a lot of these symptoms could also be related to other health conditions such as SIBO, Mercury poisoning, low serotonin, or poor diets, however when you understand the mechanism of how the body produces "NOREPINEPHRINE" from Dopamine-beta-hydroxylase by utilizing Copper as a cofactor, you can see how chronic stress and anxiety will ultimately cause this condition to get worse and worse over time.

This is because all of this copper has to go somewhere, and it either gets stored in the Liver as a toxic heavy metal ROS (reactive-oxygen-species), or it will be bound to Ceruloplasmin and other metal binding proteins in the blood.

This will ultimately use up all of the body's stores of Glutathione and Metallothionein, which means that other toxic metals and toxic chemicals like pesticides, Bisphenol-A, glyphosate, pthalates, and dioxins will get stuck in the body's tissues even more readily.

This is how CHRONIC STRESS drives a mineral imbalance and ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) dysfunction that will use up all of your body's antioxidants, leaving your cells unprotected from the multitude of harmful toxins in the air, water, and food.

Toxins are a major culprit in causing chronic pain, skin inflammation, Liver disorders, autoimmune conditions, gut health issues.....the list goes on and on.

If there is an underlying Copper imbalance, this will cause the immune system, nervous system, endocrine hormones and metabolism to all become dysregulated as a result.

After working on my own health issues, PTSD from head trauma and chronic stress, I have also helped thousands of other people also achieve greater balance in their bodies and nervous systems, I can safely say that I have a very good system for improving the detoxification of Copper, and also a great way to improve the Zinc/Copper ratio by supporting the entire metabolism, to upregulate the Liver's production of Ceruloplasmin, which will help to bind up this excess Copper and help get it into the cells and mitochondria, where it is needed to convert food into ATP energy.

If you have heard anything about being on a Copper detox program, than you probably know that Copper dumping is a phenomenon where your cells and tissues will start releasing large amounts of Copper into the bloodstream all at once, and there is not enough Glutathione, Ceruloplasmin or Metallothionein to bind it up, and so it causes inflammation to all of your tissues, leading to symptoms like:

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Spaciness
  • Joint pains
  • Skin eruptions
  • Eczema
  • Hair loss
  • Intestinal pains
  • General inflammation
  • Rib and flank pains
  • Insomnia
  • Panic attacks
  • Mood swings..
  • etc.

These Copper detox symptoms are no joke and can be very uncomfortable as this Copper is moving through your body.

We need to support your elimination organs and pathways as much as we can, including the Liver's ability produce bile, which is supported by certain nutrients, herbs and Thyroid hormones.

Bowel motility is also vital as the Copper being released into the bile, will ultimately need to be eliminated via the colon, otherwise your intestinal lining can reabsorb all of these free Copper ions back into the bloodstream.

It can become a vicious cycle.
